Does it come with stories included?
Yes, right on the projector itself. Just one thing to keep in mind: iPhone screen mirroring doesn't work with those apps — that's a restriction streaming services apply to all mirroring features, not something specific to this device. Instead, open the apps directly on the projector.
Is a subscription required?
Is a subscription required?
Not at all. There's no paywall and no cards or cartridges to buy — you're never locked into extra purchases. Most parents just use free narrated storybook videos on YouTube, and if you already have something like Vooks or a library app, that works perfectly too.
How do I add stories to the projector?
How do I add stories to the projector?
Zumko is a display device, not a library: you provide the stories, and there's nothing else to buy. There are three ways to do this; here's the easiest one first:
- YouTube (built-in). Free illustrated storybooks are already available for read-aloud sessions. Storyline Online, for example, has over 100 stories read by actors, with on-screen illustrations. Just search, pick one, and you're set.
- A USB flash drive. Upload photos or a PDF of book pages and open them directly from the projector, displaying them page by page on the wall and moving forward with the remote control.
- Streaming or connecting. Stream content from an Android phone or connect an HDMI cable from a laptop or tablet to project anything.

It depends on how far it is from the ceiling. From a nightstand, you'll get roughly 40 to 60 inches — move it back for more.
What age range is it good for?
What age range is it good for?
From age 3 and up. Younger kids enjoy it too, but we recommend 3+ due to small parts in the box.
